Who said you can never go back? This summer, don’t miss the chance to return to your University of Montana roots -- or start a new tradition! -- at the annual Aber Day Reunion Concert, which will debut at a new venue on the banks of the Flathead River in Polson.
Headlined by the legendary Mission Mountain Wood Band, the concert is slated for 3-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Polson Fairgrounds. Also taking the stage are UM alum and current Las Vegas country sensation Sam Riddle, along with UM alumna and local music mainstay Andrea Harsell with Luna Roja.
Tickets for the family-friendly celebration cost $35 each and will go on sale Monday, May 1. Cost for tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for 7-12 year olds and children 6 and under free. Proceeds from the show will be distributed to local nonprofits by the Anderson Broadcasting Charitable Foundation.
Friends and families of all ages are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and umbrellas for comfort in the Regatta Shoreline Amphitheater, a grassy terraced area. The venue provides excellent viewing, listening and dancing opportunities while enjoying the event from 3–9 p.m. Gate will open at 2 p.m. and there will be expanded food and beverage stations. Food, beverages, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase, in addition to Aber Day commemorative merchandise and musical artist merchandise.
Free parking for both cars and RVs is available near the town of Polson, with additional hotels and camping within minutes of the venue. No pets, except for service dogs, will be admitted. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
