Thank you for your interest in hosting an affinity reunion. Reunions are an excellent way to reconnect with friends and your alma mater. The University of Montana Alumni Association is happy to assist you in your planning.
UMAA Responsibilities:
- Communicating via email with those invited
- Listing the reunion online (Facebook, website)
- Including the reunion details in the Alumni Insider, when appropriate
- Event planning support including recommendations, help booking campus spaces, catering guidelines, etc.
- Event-appropriate swag and décor
- Registration money intake, by choice of the group
- Help coordinating campus experiences including tours, meetings with professors or UM leadership, ticket blocks, etc.
Group Responsibilities:
- Selecting a date and time for the reunion
- All event planning including hotel blocks, venues, catering, programming, etc.
- Communication to the UMAA team
- Personal marketing, including via social media, individual contact channels, etc.
- A list of attendees following the reunion, as well as updated contact information for all
For your reunion to be successful, UMAA must be notified 4 months before the planned date. Considerations will be given to those who fall outside of this timeline on a case-by-case basis. Please remember that Homecoming is an exceptionally busy time for our small team and reunions set for that week will require ample lead time for planning.
